🚀 The Incubator: How Alex Murphy Built a Band at Soul Graffiti

We don’t just rent rooms; we grow projects. One of our proudest moments recently has been watching Alex Murphy transform his vision into a fully realized ensemble right here within our walls.

When Alex first walked into Soul Graffiti, he had the songs and the drive, but he needed a space to grow his vision. By utilizing Soul Graffiti, Alex was able to:

  • Host Rehearsals: In a professional, sound-treated environment that commands respect from bandmates.
  • Workshop Arrangements: Having a consistent space meant the band could find their “pocket,” and focus on the chemistry rather than the clock.

Today, Alex Murphy and his band is a powerhouse, born from the intentionality of having a dedicated creative home. We want to do the same for you. We are currently opening doors for one or two new monthly tenants who are looking for more than just a rehearsal spot. This is a living ecosystem for artists who care about craft, collaboration, and sustainability.

🎻 Cello Joe — From Wine Country to the High Sierras

Cello Joe is bringing his signature blend of classical mastery and beatbox-driven funk to some of our favorite Northern California corners.

  • Sat, Mar 21 | Spicy Vines Winery (Healdsburg): 3:00 PM. High-end wine meets high-end looping.
  • Mar 26–28 | Moody’s Bistro, Bar & Beats (Truckee): A three-night show in the mountains starting at 7:00 PM nightly. The ultimate cozy, high-altitude vibe.

✨ Artist Spotlight: Jessica Malone

This March, we are honored to welcome Jessica Malone to The Hearth, where she will be featured alongside Honey of the Heart for a special evening of song, story, and community.

Jessica Malone is a Northern California–based singer-songwriter whose music feels like both a fireside conversation and a wide-open valley sky. Rooted in folk traditions yet distinctly her own, her songwriting carries a poetic clarity — tender without being fragile, strong without losing its vulnerability. There’s a grounded honesty in her voice that draws listeners inward and invites them to exhale.

A Voice of the Northern Valley

Throughout the Northern California valley, Jessica has become a beloved presence — regularly performing at intimate house concerts, listening rooms, community gatherings, and regional venues. Her performances hold that rare balance of craft and authenticity: finely written songs delivered with ease, humility, and emotional depth.
